A new job, another long run and more ramblings.

I am back from a 4 day weekend!

I got so much done this weekend…

it was awesome!!!

I reorganized my bathroom

Cleaned out my closet

Went to see “The Heat” with my parents

Cleaned the house

Went wine tasting

Did laundry

Ran a total of 26 miles over 4 days

Sold a bunch of stuff on eBay

Watched 2 movies on netflix

Went recliner shopping with my mom


I got a new job!

Now, let’s talk a little more about running.

I did my first 14 miler on Sunday!

Pre-run, I hydrated with CocoGo.

  A coconut water “real fruit hydration” packet.

The flavor I got to try out was Raspberry fruit passion.

It was delicious!!!

Coconut water is so refreshing and hydrating.

I love it.

So, I hydrated…

had another CLICK protein shake.

Not gonna make the mistake of running on a full stomach again.


Then, I donned one of my favorite running outfits.

(I have so many favorites… I can’t pick just one!)

I love those Nike running shorts.

I bought them specifically to match my purple ProCompression socks.

I threw on my hydration backpack and headed out the door.


I was nervous to run 14 miles.

Super nervous.

I wasn’t sure if I had it in me.

But I did it and I loved every second of it!

I turned on my FitRadio app and just ran.

and ran.

and ran.

and ran.

14 miles later, I was one happy camper.

I did it!

This week is a baseline week, so I only have a 7 mile run this weekend.

Thank goodness for that.

    Congrats on the job! Sounds like the perfect combo for you 🙂 I rarely eat before a run but if I’m starving I eat a banana. That’s about all my stomach can handle.

    I’ve never heard of fit radio but with my first marathon training coming up next week I know I’ll be checking it out! I’m super nervous about my training as I’ve never EVER run over 6 miles and the first week is 3/3/3/6…. wish me luck!

    Congrats on the job! Sounds great! I just had some pineapple coconut water last week and loved it. I can take or leave regular coconut water but this was soooooo good! I have to eat before a long run but very routine and don’t have any issues. Good luck on your new job!
