Ugly Sports “Ugliest” Run Picture and Story contest!

BIG NEWS PEOPLE!!!

I am partnering with Ugly Sports to host the

“Ugliest” Run Picture and Story Contest!!!!

Info from the founder of Ugly Sports:

My name is Jessica Linney and I am a survivor. I was diagnosed with cancer when I was 28 years old. I had always considered myself athletic but cancer tested my strength of will.

Running instilled purpose in my life, and I challenged myself by running further and faster every year since. I have been lucky enough to use my passion for running to raise money for cancer.

Why Run Ugly?

I get this question all the time! It is Run Ugly because it is true. When you look at running ads, you see these perfectly manicured women with their beautiful hair, shiny bright smiles, with not a drop of sweat anywhere to be seen. The backdrop is a beautiful sunset or some fake banner. Who are these people kidding? Running is hard! Running is sweat, pain and commitment! Running is heat, cold, rain, snow, and mud! Running is testing your inner soul, connecting with your inner self, achieving your goals, and conquering your fears! Why Run Ugly? Because Ugly is what you defeat, and that is what makes it pretty!

I hope that my brand, Run Ugly, will inspire every runner to take control of their lives regardless of adversity.

Run Ugly targets the athlete in every one of us as we continue the fight to conquer cancer.

A portion of all our proceeds will go to cancer research.

I urge you to get inspired and not be afraid to run ugly! If you are about to run your first 5k or have been running for years, Run Proud, Run Hard, Run Ugly!

A Little About the Contest:

The person with the “Ugliest” Running Photo and Story wins one of these awesome technical shirts!

Men’s technical shirt (colors available: neon lime, silver, royal blue & kelly green)

Women’s technical shirt (colors available: neon lime, silver, fuscia & turquoise)

The technical shirt has a semi-fitted neck. It is 100% polyester and has premium wicko active mesh for a light weight performance.

The contest ends at midnight on Sunday July 21st.

See! That horrendous marathon, half marathon or 5k was totally worth it…

Because let’s face it,

None of us look like this guy when we are running.

Super human, freaks of nature- that’s what they are…

those beautiful, photogenic runners.

Jerks.

Just to be fair, here are a few horrendous pictures from some of my runs…

The race I promised myself I would NEVER do again.

Now that we are even…

E-mail me your ugliest run picture and make sure to include the story that goes with it!

My e-mail is ratherberunnin@hotmail.com

I will announce the winner on Monday, July 22nd.

Now, for part two!

Help me get the word out!

I am doing a giveaway in conjunction with the photo contest.

The prize is top secret!

I love surprises.

I will tell you that it is running related!

But you have to enter to win!

I will also announce the winner and what the prize is on the 22nd.
