Here is my weekend in a nutshell…
Well, I think it’s funny and I am laughing.
I woke up and did a track workout with my friend Heather, which was SUPER fun!
- I can’t have a salted caramel mocha right now.
- I went running instead of reading.
The track workout was surprisingly fun! We did high knees, sprints and talked each others ears off (as per usual). It was about 5.5 miles.
Then, I came home and took a nap.
I love naps.
When I woke up, I knew it was time to “get it on” with all of the food I bought the day before at Trader Joe’s… so I did.
I turned on my Arcade Fire Pandora station,
and I became a cooking machine!
My question is… how the heck am I still single?
Exactly… I know.
consisted of a 14 mile run with my friend Heather, followed by a jaunt in her hot tub.
It was very much needed… but made me sleepy again.
I almost did this during my lunch, seriously.
So, I napped again and watched a few movies on Netflix.
I must say that the majority of the movies on Netflix suck.
For those of you who don’t follow my Whole30 blog,
I will tell you that I am on day 9 and feeling good! I am sleeping much better, my acne is clearing up, I am no longer craving sweets and I don’t do the 3 o’clock tank anymore either. My blood sugar levels have been very constant, so I don’t experience the energy rollercoaster that I used to. My digestion is also better and I have lost about 4 pounds, which is great! I don’t, however, feel like my running has benefited… yet.
But, I bet it will in a week or so.
In other news,
I started school again.
Yes, I am in school! I am getting a Masters degree at National University in Human Resource Management. It is a 14 month online program, and each class is 1 month long (with 2 breaks somewhere in there).
I just finished my second break and I will continue on until December. At that time, I will write my Thesis and graduate. It’s a lot of work, but in the end I know it will be worth it.
- I work full time
- I am training for 6+ half marathons and a full marathon
- I am a full time student
- I am a blogger
Have I lost my mind?
It’s quite possible.
If you ever hear anyone say that they don’t have time to work out…
Anyway, that is all for now. I hope you had a great weekend!
What did you do?
How far did you run?
Did you become a crazy cooker, like I did?
