I proposed to ProCompression on Twitter so you could win a pair of compression socks!

I admit it. I did it.

I proposed to ProCompression on Twitter.

socks
Why would I do such an ridiculous thing?

Because I LOVE ProCompression socks that much. If I had 7 pairs, I would probably wear them every day.

That is true love right there, my friends.

As you can see from the picture above, I have been having some shin splint problems lately.

For a seasoned runner like myself, it is pretty abnormal; but, considering the trauma that I put my legs through last weekend at the SLO Half Marathon, I am not surprised.

Luckily for me, I know how to deal with this problem….

ProCompression socks!!!

Not only do ProCompression socks increase the circulation in your legs, which can help with recovery, but they can also keep your legs fresh during a race.

Think about it! When you run for a long period of time, blood pools in your feet, which is why your feet swell. ProCompression socks are made to keep the blood circulating!

I wore them last weekend when I PRed, and I honestly think the socks played a role in it! Besides the fact that I have been training my butt off, of course.

My legs felt amazing during the EXTREMELY HILLY half marathon course, which was so awesome. My recovery time was also significantly shorter and less painful than usual.

Sold. I am officially sold.

Here is some information that I pulled from the ProCompression website:

Your feet and legs are your engine. Anything less than peak performance and full recovery means unnecessary discomfort while operating at less than your best. Change all of that with the advanced design and materials that make PRO Compression socks your ultimate recovery tool.

How They Work

PRO Compression socks are designed specifically to deliver both maximum comfort and speedy recovery times. The science is complex, but benefits such as improved blood flow, stability and comfort are universally understood.  The moment you put these socks on your feet and incorporate them into your game, you will feel and understand the difference.

PRO Compression socks are noticeably tight and require more effort to put on than standard socks in your drawer. But it’s that extra effort and much-needed compression that make all the difference. Be patient and your feet will thank you.

Design

PRO Compression socks are the result of years of innovation. We started off with a unique design, used by endurance athletes for years, and added golf-specific enhancements for maximum comfort and performance. This sock was designed to keep you ahead of the competition. A better footwear choice is simply not available.

Materials

Our world-class design is complimented with specialized materials. Without them, it would be impossible to create revolutionary performance footwear. Cotton and wool  simply aren’t going to cut it in a world where the best athletes rely on the highest-quality gear. PRO Compression uses a proprietary blend of nylon and poly materials, optimized for performance, benefiting both amateur and professional athletes.

If you aren’t completely sold, l have a special treat  for you!

I am giving away a pair of ProCompression socks, so you can try these bad boys out for yourself!

I currently use compression socks on and off due to my laundry habits. I would love more so that I don’t wear mine out washing them 5 days a week.

I’ve always hummed and hawed over whether or not to bite the bullet and try these socks since I have such large calves. I’d have no excuse if I won! Then I’d probably curse myself for not doing it sooner!

I just got my first pair of ProCompression socks (neon green) and love them! I have calf sleeves as well for running, and I use the socks for recovery. It’s made a huge difference.

I am going to get myself a pair of these sometime in the (hopefully) near future. I wear compression stockings for work but never thought about wearing them while running. And tell my about the Ktape, is it the funk too? I’ve heard it is 🙂

I am so glad you did this post not just because you’re giving people an amazing opportunity to try something new but because I’ve been suffering some leg issues lately and I recently researched compression socks. It’s like you read my mind!
